BHAVATA VIVARNANAM

The man's life keeps on rolling. He enters the family life and remains stuck to it. The growing tree in the forest stands huge in appearence. It gives shelter to the trespassers. The shoots come up and spread in all directions into mighty branches. It enchants the trespassers eye's.

In the same way, the man's life also spreads in the form of family hierarchy. A man develops affection with woman and makes a relationship to enter the family life. He continues the generation in the form of progeny, who represent the branches of a tree (family tree). In the tree, some birds make wonderful sounds to the merriment of passersby. In the family life, people gets enchanted in listening to the children words. The children speak childishly, which brings joy to the hearts of parents.

The family burden keeps on adding on his shouldes. He suffes from the burden of family pressure and remains tormented and taciturn, within his heart. The age keeps on moving. He develops a sense of fear about the future. He wish to amass wealth. He keeps on thinking about minting money, so that he can save the family members from the endangered life of poverty and misery.

For the welfare of family members, he sacrifices his own comforts and pleasures and keeps on working tirelessly. To safeguard his life, he interacts with public in all possible ways. The people remain crooked and evil, deep within their heart. In the forest, one can see harmful animals like herons and vultures. In the forest of life, one makes friendship with sinners. The evil doers resemble the herons and vultures in real sense. They are develish.

But then to run the family show, he makes social relationship with these crooked people. He remains affected by the fear of losing soical respect. To maintain the social status, he sacrifices many things and keeps on moving endlessly, in search of a destiny, which remains endles in any sense.

In the social life, the sinners resembling the herons and vultures in their deep heart, time and again cheat the people and swindle the belongings of deprived. At times people are being preyed by these sinners. It resembles just like the wolves carying away a strayed sheep, in the forest.
Betrayed by them, they seek to join the flock of swans (soft people), but not finding their behavior to their liking, they approach monkeys (People who enjoy life in undue means). They get stuck to the life of monkeys. They remain stuck to the cravings of mind and they forget the approaching death.

Seeking delights in trees and found of sons and wife, they are impatient with the animal desire for sexual indulgence and powerless to get rid of their bondage. In the pursuit of undue means of unwanted joy, he gets affected by diseases, which remains like a huge cave. The diseases horifies them. The diseases resemble like an elephant (representing the death). He develops the sense of fear about the sins committed by him, in the earlier stages of his life.

The fear hidden in the mind remains unconquerable. We need to find the ways and means to solve this problem. But, by our own will and determination we cannot change the destiny. We need to surrender our life on to the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN through the blessings of SATHGURU in the proper way of KRISHNA BHAKTHI by continously chanting the RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM.

We are fortuned to have our SATHGURU - POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA, in our presence. Let the blessings of our SATHGURU remove the fear of life from our mind.

Let the glory of SATHGURU and SATHSANGAM be spread always.

Let the nectar of KRISHNA BHAKTHI as given by our SATHGURU - POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA in the form of RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM flow through each nerve and vein of every JEEVATHMA (eagering soul looking for salvation) in the earth.

Let us unanimously procalim the glory of RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM though the power of continous chanting.

Le the entire world be blissful.

JAI SHREE POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA!

JAI SHREE RADHEKRISHNA SATHSANG KI JAI!

RADHEKRISHNA... RADHEKRISHNA... RADHEKRISHNA...

BHAVATA VIVARNANAM

The piercing thorns bring him unbearable pain. He becomes sad and depressed. For the sake of running the family, he forcibly walks in the mountain amidst of thorns and hard stones. The family pressure burdens him. His mind remains restless. He becomes taciturn. The mental agonies, torture him like any thing. The sufferings of life, keeps him restless. He grew angry at others. He shouts at the family members. The suppressed emotions burst out from his mind like a rocking volcano.

He keeps on roaming in the forest. In the forest, some pythons do prey at human beings. Pythons engulf his life. He remains unaware of worldly happenings. He loses his entire life, caught under the devilish plot of thieves. The sinners, prey at the life of ignorant people. They cheat the ignorant people and loot the money. The evil doers are like poisonous snakes. The poison injected by them, leads the life to darkness. They cheat the people through their gimmicks. When the people lose wisdom, their life seems to be blind.

The ignorance leads them to darkness. The blind man travels in the forest. Some people pity at him, while others play with his life. Some people misguide him. Under their guide lines, he roams in the forest. The blind falls in the barren well and ends his life. The destiny of the blind ends in darkness and sorrow. At times, he craves for tiny pleasures. He remains unaware of his true personality. At the expense of his dignity, he searches for the tiny pleasure. People do laugh at him. Even after listening to it, he keeps on craving for the pleasures.

When he enjoys the pleasure, some people forcefully detach him. At times people associated with him, do laugh his misconduct. After a long analyzing of the situation, he regains wisdom. He gains the courage. He forsakes the unwanted pleasures. But, then the same old story repeats after a short span of time.

The natural calamities terrify him. He remains incapable of solving the problems arising out of natural calamities. The climatic barriers like freezing cold, excess heat, hurricane and flood do prey at the lives of human beings. People do develop hatred. For the sake of material gains, people compete with one another. At times, a man leads the hypocritical life. He disguises him as a noble man. He behaves against the moral, in secret. He starts hiding his wealth. For the sake of wealth, relatives do fight with one another. The hatred burns in their heart like a fuming fire. This fire burns the entire society in the form of quarrels and fights.

At times, he loses money. He becomes dependable on others. He loses the basic comforts like food, shelter and dress. People start insulting him. He accepts the insults, for the sake of comforts. The art of merchandising prevails in the society. People do exchange their goods. The money acts as a mediator and fixes the price value to each and every commodity. The mind clinches to undue means. The evils in the form of devilish plot, enters the mind and corrupt them.

People do form colonies. The colonies fight with one another. In the fight, some people die. After a deep mourning, the new generation continues the fight. The time waits for none. It keeps on rolling from the past to the present leading to the future at any point of time. The changing trends keep the society moving afresh, from the past to the present. People forget the life of detached ones. At the loss of old people, he cries for a short while. Simultaneously, at the onset of a new baby, he smiles happily.

What a mysterious world?

He cries for a moment. After a while, he forgets the sorrow and smiles with joy. The pleasure and sorrow alternate time after time. The society keeps on rolling without a pause.

Oh! Mighty Ruler! The path of human life goes on endlessly. No one has ever understood the destiny of this human life. No one has ever understood the mystery behind the human life. This human life remains a puzzle for ever. The answer is yet to be finalized.

The mighty rulers amass the armaments. They develop occult powers. They develop YOGIC power. At one point of time, they may even rule the climatic barriers. But then, the MAYA in the form of I and mine remains unconquerable. The mighty rulers attack the neighboring countries and conquer them. The ruler starts expanding their frontiers. In the war, millions and millions of people die. Even after seeing this, no ruler has ever forsaken the war. Rulers crazily hunt on others in the form of wars.

The SANYASI (A follower of austerity) remains unaware of hatred. The SANYASI develops the sense of brotherhood. He develops the universal vision of mankind and works for the welfare of mankind. No ruler has ever forsaken the ruling power for the sake of peace and harmony.

BHAVATA VIVARNANAM will be continued in the next issue…

JADABHARATHAR narrates the life as a forest. The SANYASI (SATHGURU) has the universal vision of mankind. He works for the welfare of mankind. The rulers develop hatred and fight for material gains, in the form of huge landscape (nation), in this mighty world. The SANYASI abandons the pleasure arising out of this victory (over the other nation) and remains self – reliant.

The SANYASI enjoys the immortal happiness of divine bliss. All the worlds sprout from BHAGAVAN. The SANYASI conquers the BHAGAVAN through PREMAI (Unconditional divine love). The SANYASI enjoys this victory over BHAGAVAN’s heart and remains self – reliant. The victory of a SANYASI is far superior to the victory of any mighty ruler.

We are fortuned to have our SATHGURU – POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA, in our presence. Let the chanting of “RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM” ward off the evil from our mind.

Let the glory of “RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM” spread to entire world.
Let the glory of SATHGURU and SATHSANGAM be spread always.

Let every one in the world, taste the nectar of “RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM” and be blissful.

JAI SHREE POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA!

JAI SHREE RADHEKRISHNA SATHSANG KI JAI!

RADHEKRISHNA… RADHEKRISHNA…RADHEKRISHNA…

BHAVATA VARNANAM

Vide: 5 - 13 (5th Skandham, 13th Adhyayam)

The discussion between a RISHI and a SHISHYA was explained in BHAGAVATHAM Vide 5 -13. The RISHI was JADABHARATHAR. He took 3 births. In his third birth, he behaved like a mad. In his earlier birth, HE had developed a strog affection towards a deer. This desire had binded him in iron chains. The desire forced him to take rebirth. He was cycled in the SAMSARA SAGARAM (Ocean of life) for 3 births. The simple reason behind this was the uncontrollable desire towards a deer.

The mental cravig forms a sediment and becomes a permanent layer in the mind. This layer forms the concrete basement for building the new birth. When the soul leaves the body, the mental cravings forms a base for reaching a new body. In the same way, when the mind develops a strong desire towards devotion, then it will lead to salvation.

A ruler by name RAGHUGANAN prostrated at the lotus feet of JADABHARATHAR. He humbly prayed at the lotus feet of JADABHARATHAR and asked about the path of human life. JADABHARATHAR started explaining the path of life. He narrated the story, depicting the life to be a forest surronded by bewilderig animals. This explanation about the forest of life was called as BHAVATA VIVARNANAM. The explanations is as follows...

The path of life moves towards materialism, caught in the illusion of prosperities and luxuries of material life. People are enveloped in the trap formed by 3 qualities namely RAJAS (Anger), TAMAS (Dullness) and SATVIC (Calmness) and they remain clinched to them. The human actions cycle around the qualities of calmness, anger and dullness. They keep in mind about the material gains.

Material gains forms the ultimate aim of life. People start developing an uncontrollable desire towards minting money. In search of it, the life moves on busily. People remain restless ad roam from pillar to corner in search of money. In the wild forest of life, people search for water (happiness) to quench their thirst, but in vain. The source of happiness remains hidden, in the forest of life. Mostly people remain unaware of this happiness. They lost their life, in the endless journey of searching the happiness.

In the forest of life, people should be careful to safeguard themselves from the 6 thieves, headed by a boss. These 6 thieves ransack the moey of people. In the forest, many foxes prey at the deer. These foxes tear them in to pieces. The sight seems to be horrible. The 6 thieves loot the money from people just like the foxes preying at the deer and tearing their body into pieces. The forest was surrounded by bushes and green trees, all around. The place seems to be surrounded by thick growth of plants. Deadly insects like mosquitoes, bees do prey at the people. They spread diseases. At times in the forest, he sees illusionary pictures. He started imaginig at them. At times, burning fires fall from heaven. The fires terrifies his mind. At times, the forest catches fire. Buring wodden sticks fell down from it.

Oh! Ruler! He starts accumulating wealth in the form of building, luxurious things, huge ladscape, money, gems and other costlier items. He amass the wealth and develops a sense of ego towards his possessions. In search of wealth, he roams in the forest from one end to another. At times, hurricane hits at him. He was forcibly driven out from his dwelling place. The fuming mud and sand particles settles down in his body. He becomes dirty. His eyes becomes dry. He suffers from the climatic disturbances. At times, he listens to unbearable horrible sounds. He becomes terrified by those sounds. At times, he listens to the sound of owls. He roams in the forest amidst of fear and insecurity. He fears at his life. He fears about the wild animals, which might prey at him. His mind becomes perplexed and tensed.

He suffers of poverty. He roams in the forest with empty stomach. He sats underneath at a barren tree, without leaves. What a Iroy? He was exposed to scorching sun. The sunrays burns him, just like an ant kept in a buring furnace. To come out of it, he search for a shelter. After vigorous search, he finds a tree. But as soon as he reaches the tree, the tree starts sheding out its leaves. Sooner, the tree becomes barren. He loses the cool shelter and the sweet fragrance comig from the tree. He loses the mild breeze comig from the tree.

He leaves the tree and search for another one. The same old story repeats over there. He continues the endless journey of hunting one tree after another. The burning sun rays, dehydrates him. His tingue becomes dry. He search for cool water.

In the forest, he search for a lake to quench his thirst. After a long journey, at a farsight, he finds a lake. He rans towards it, with all his might, but in vain. When he reaches the place, he finds no lake. The sight appeared before him as a lake was an illusion. This illusion of water continues all around the places of forest. He tastes dejection and frustration, at the loss of a lake.

But, he never leaves the journey. He keeps on rolling. He goes to ponds and lakes devoid of water. At times, he was starved to death. He fights with the fellowmen for the sake of food. At times, he spreads scandal about others. At times, he loses his life, being burnt in the forest fire, which engulfs the entire forest.

At times, demons prey at him. He loses his life, in the hands of demons. Sometimes, thieves loot the money and make him a pauper. He becomes sad and depressed. He faints down to earth, on listening to this sad news. At times, he enters the fatacy world of fun and recreation. He felts enchanted. He enjoys the celebration over there. But, he cannot celebrate it for a long time. He was forced to travel in the huge mountain. He has to climb up in the mountain. During his voyage, piercing thorns and hard stones painfully hits at his feet. He climbs in the mountain as a bitter experience, but of no avail.

The family burden surmounts him like a huge mountain. He becomes like an ant kept inside a huge mountain, searching for exit, but in vain. The family pressures binds him. He grew angry at others and shouts at the people around him.

The explanation to be continued in the next article....

Till such time, let the chanting of RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM protect us from evils.

The UPADESHAM (Kind precahing) coming from the SATHGURU remains immortal. They know the ultimate reality of life. The path of life as explaied by JADABHARATHAR, will remain immortal for ages to come. The UPADESHAM coming from the SATHGURU enlightens the mind. This path of enlightenment lead us to salvation.

We are fortuned to have our SATHGURU - POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA, in our presence. Let us listen to the UPADESHAM coming from our SATHGURU. Let the divine grace of BHAGAVAN fill our mind with the divine preachings of our SATHGURU.

Let the glory of SATHGURU and SATHSANGAM be spread always.

Let the glory of SATHSAGAM spread to the entire world.

JAI SHREE POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA!

JAI SHREE RADHEKRISHNA SATHSANG KI JAI!

NIMHI VAMSA VARNANAM

NIMHI VAMSA VARNANAM

(Vide 9:13, 9th Skandham, 13th Adhyayam)

The curse got from a SATHGURU remains irreversible, except at the divine grace bestowed by them. Only through the divine grace of SATHGURU, the effects of a curse can be annulled. Even BHAGAVAN does not deny the curse given by a MAHATHMA (SATHGURU). The words coming from a MAHATHMA (Sathguru) can very well be taken as the words of BHAGAVAN.

The curse given by VASISTA RISHI, came to reality. NIMHI RAJAN fell down on earth. NIMHI RAJAN died. The BRAHMINS, who were performing the YAGNAM, preserved the body of NIMHI RAJAN with the help of medicated oils. Time passed on. With the divine grace of BHAGAVAN, the SATHRA YAGAM was completed harmoniously.

The DEVA’S were pleased by the earnest prayer made by the BRAHMINS. The DEVA’S appeared on the scene. The BRAHMINS prostrated on to the lotus feet of DEVA’S. The DEVA’S asked the BRAHMINS to seek a boon from them. The BRAHMINS requested the DEVA’S, “We were pleased by the kind ruling of NIMHI RAJAN. A country without a ruler behaves like a destitute. We need our ruler, namely NIMHI RAJAN. If it is within your powers, please bring HIM back to life. Let him be given a human life.”

To this the DEVA’S said, “Let NIMHI RAJAN regain life”. On listening to these words, the soul of NIMHI RAJAN replied,
“Please don’t bind me in the eternal ocean of SAMSARAM (cycle of birth and death). Let me not take a human birth, kept inside a human body. The body remains mortal. The soul remains immortal. Let me attain salvation from the cycle of birth and death. The RISHI’s, who had conquered the MAYA (Illusion of materialism) detached themselves from the cravings of the mind.

The mind wanders in all directions, in search of pleasure. The sensual cravings bind the life in iron chains, unknowingly. The life of a human being passes on in the dire delusion of materialism. The RISHI’s meditated on to the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN and escaped from the MAYA. Their mind was fully absorbed in BHAGAVAN. The chanting of NAMAM vibrated their body with devotion. They abandoned the luxuries of material world, just like passing things appearing in a dream world. Through constant meditation of NAMA JAPAM, they attained salvation from the cycle of birth and death.

The path of devotion leads to salvation. I wish to attain salvation from the material life of illusion. The human life arising out of human body leads to many sorrows and sufferings and fills the mind with horror. The uncertainty of life occupies the mind and people suffer a lot. I don’t wish to take such a human birth. This kind of life is typical to the life of a fish. The fish was forced to make a living in the horrifying ocean, amidst of predators in the form of big fishes. To escape from the ocean, if it enters the land, then the life of fish comes to an end in the hands of fishermen. The race of “fittest the survival” holds well in the material world. The human beings lead their life in stiff competition. The death enters the lifespan of a human being at an appropriate time. The appropriate time of death was symbolically represented in the form of YAMA DHARMA RAJAN, one who rules the hell. No one can escape from the death. The human life seems to be short, yet precious. I don’t wish to lead the life in the MAYA of materialism. I wish to be an observer of the world. Please don’t bind me in the cave of a human body.”

On listening to the enlightened speech of NIMHI RAJAN, the DEVA’S said,
“Let HIM not be put in the cycle of MAYA. Let NIMHI RAJAN live in the eyelids of each and every human being and make a living through the movements of eyelids. Let him observe the happenings of the material world. Let HIM eternally live in the MAYA, without being affected by it. Let him lead the life of detachment in this mighty world of materialism.”

On attaining a unique boon from the DEVA’S, the NIMHI RAJAN grew happy. NIMHI RAJAN started living in the eyelids of human beings.

The BRAHMINS thought for a while. The country without a ruler behaves like a destitute. So they took the dead body of NIMHI RAJAN and through a medical process, they gave birth to a baby artificially. (It is similar to artificial insemination and gene cloning. Nowadays we are listening about test tube babies. The same thing was done through the body of NIMHI RAJAN. Vide – 9th Skandham, 13th Adhyayam, Slokhas 12, 13.)

The baby was named as JANAGAN (One who gave birth to children having got his own life from a dead body). JANAGAN continued the proud hereditary of NIMHI RAJAN through the off springs. He was also called as VAIDHEGAN or VIDHEGAN. He was artificially made from the dead cells of a human body. So he was called as VAIDHEGAN (Artificially made human being).

The process of test tube babies involves the mixing of cells to form an embryo. In short, it can be termed as MIXING. In olden days people used to extract the butter from the milk, through continuous squashing with the help of wooden stick. Here the butter was extracted from the milk through the process of EXTRACTION. In the same way, from the cells of a dead body, the human life was extracted. The SANSKRIT word MATHANAM literally means extraction. JANAGAN was also called as MITHILAN (One who got his life through the process of MATHANAM. A baby born of MATHANAM was called as MITHILAN). The ruling kingdom of MITHILAN was called as MITHILAI. In the proud hereditary of MITHILAN comes SEETHA MATHA, the divine companion of BHAGAVAN SRI RAMA.

The glory of SATHGURU remains great. See the life of NIMHI RAJAN. He lives eternally in the MAYA (ILLUSION OF MATERIALISM) but remains an observer in a detached way. He observes the fantasies of human beings through their eyelids. We open and close our eyes time and again. But have we ever thought of NIMHI RAJAN and the divine glory of SATHGURU.

Do we ever check the cravings of the mind, on opening the eyes? Do we ever observe the material world as a illusion, just like NIMHI RAJAN? Perhaps, the answer lies within us. The eyes are given to enjoy the divine beauty of BHAGAVAN. Let the blessings of SATHGURU, lead us to observe the world without getting into the trap of MAYA. Even the curse turns the life of a SHISHYA to a great altar in the material life. Then what to say about the boon got from a SATHGURU, in the form of blessings? It cannot be explained in human words. The divine glory of SATHGURU remains unreachable to human words and expressions.

We are fortuned to have our SATHGURU – POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA, in our presence. Let us lead in the path of devotion. Let our life be blissful. Let the glory of SATHGURU and SATHSANGAM spread to each and every one in the world. Let the chanting of RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM purify the entire world. Let the glory of SATHGURU and SATHSANGAM be spread always.

JAI SHREE POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA!

JAI SHREE RADHE KRISHNA SATHSANG KI JAI!

RADHEKRISHNA….RADHEKRISHNA….RADHEKRISHNA…

NIBHI VAMSA VARNANAM

Vide 9 - 13,
9 th Skandham, 13 th Adhyayam

In the proud heriditary of IKSHVAGU, there comes another ruler by name NIBHI. IKSHVAGU had a son by name NIBHI. He was a proud ruler known to all. NIBHI performed a very big YAGNA (divine sacrifice). The YAGNA performed by him was a divine one, running for longer years of time. The YAGNA was called as SATHRA YAGAM.

NIBHI prayed at the lotus feet of VASISTA RISHI (SATHGURU) to perform the rituals of YAGNA. To this VASISITA Rishi replied, "Oh! Mighty ruler! I am happy in accepting your invitation. But, then DEVENDRAN (ruler of heaven) was running a SATHRA YAGAM. He asked me to attend it. To his request, I have already gave my word and promised him that, I would be attending the YAGNA without fail. I have to keep up my word. Let me complete the YAGNAM of Devendran. After finishing it, I will return to your place. Till such tiem, wait for me. " NIBHI remained silent, after listening these words from VASISTA RISHI.

VASISTA RISHI went to the SATHRA YAGAM of DEVENDRAN. He did the YAGAM perfectly with utmost devotion. After finishing it, VASISTA RISHI came to the place ofNIBHI.

One strange thing was happening...

NIBHI was a true devotee. He had the true wisdom of divinity. He understood the reality of life. This life remains unstable. The soul residing in the body, can leave the body at any point of time. This life is short. This life is running short. No one can understand the destiny of one's life.

The SATHRA YAGAM need to be continued for many years. I am waiting for VASISTA RISHI. But, then the right time had not yet come. I am running short of my life. Let me start the YAGNAM. Knowing the uncertainity of life, NIBHI RAJAN took the risk of starting the YAGNAM without the presence of VASISTA RISHI (SATHGURU).

VASISTA RISHI came to the place of NIBHI RAJAN. He was shocked to see the YAGNAM being performed by some other BRAHMINS. NIBHI RAJAN committed the greatest mistake of disobeying the command of SATHGURU. VASISTA RISHI kept his promise alive. After finishing the YAGNAM of DEVENDRAN, HE came to the place of NIBHI. The SATHGURU always think about the welfare of SHISHYA (Devotee). They never forget their words and promises. They will keep up their promise. On the other hand, the SHISHYA should seek the qualities of patience and perseverance in their life. The golden periods of fortune and prosperity will struck in the life of each and every SHISHYA, without fail. To this end, SHISHYA has to go by the means of devotion and should have the determined faith in the words of SATHGURU.

NIBHI RAJAN gave utmost importance to the rituals at the expense of SATHGURU. This remains a greatest sin. The SATHGURU brings the BHAGAVAN hidden in our body as a soul. Before the glory of SATHGURU, no ritual of any high value remains comparable. Their divine mercy of bestowing the divine grace of BHAGAVAN remains a huge mountain in comparison to the rituals as a sack of sand particles.

VASISTA RISHI grew angry at the misconduct of NIBHI as a SHISHYA. VASISTA RISHI cursed NIBHI RAJAN, " Let the body of NIBHI RAJAN engulfed in the "EGO" of 'WISDOM' be fell on the ground. Let him die. "

NIBHI RAJAN grew angry. He lost his senses. Against the norms of divinity, NIBHI RAJAN gave a curse to VASISTA RISHI. As a divine rule, a SHISHYA (Devotee) should never think ill of a SATHGURU. NIBHI RAJAN cursed VASISTA RISHI, " Oh! Reverred BRAHMIN! You are greedy. You went to the place of DEVENDRAN for the material sake. Let your body made of greediness be fell on the ground."

In BHAGAVATHAM, no more explanation was given about the after effects of the curse of NIBHI RAJAN. A great moral lies behind this. The curse gave by a SATHGURU remains a blessings in disguize. The curse gave by a SATHGURU will bring glory and prosperity to the successive generation of SHISHYA. But, on the contrary if a SHISHYA think ill of a SATHGURU, then it will ruin the life of SHISHYA. It is advisable that never we should resort to such destiny in our life.

It is a divine norm to think about the welfare of mankind. Let our mind think good things. Let us speak good words. Let our conduct be good. Let our mind be fixed on the good things of life. Let our mind be purified by the RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM. Let us never clinch to the wrong notions of life. Let our senses namely speaking and hearing be focussed towards devotion. It is a sin to speak about the ruining of a SHISHYA's life. To avoid it, in BHAGAVATHAM, no more explanation was given to the outcome of the curse of NIBHI.

Wait till next issue to know about the glory of VASISTA RISHI (SATHGURU)

By listening and speaking about the evil things, we are unnecessarily adding fuel to the fire of evil. Let us never do it, as a SHISHYA. On the contrary, the words of SATHGURU may be about the evils of society. Because their words will cleanse the evils of society. They are born for the welfare of mankind. They are born to cleanse the sins and the evils of mankind. As a divne role, they preach about the ways and means to ward off the evils of mankind.

The behaviour of a SATHGURU remains a mystery. We have to chant RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM continously to keep our self humble enough to accept the words of SATHGURU.

We are fortuned to have our SATHGURU - POOJYA SHRI SHRI AMMA, in this life. Let us use this life fruitfully. Let the glory of RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM and SATHGURU be spread always. Let the RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM as given by POOJYA SHRI SHRI AMMA, reverberate the entire world.

JAI SHREE POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA!

JAI SHREE RAHDEKRISHNA SATHSANG KI JAI!

RADHEKRISHNA...RADHEKRISHNA...RADHEKRISHNA...

SOWDHASA UPAKYANAM

The wife of BRAHMIN gave a curse. She was shocked to see the massacre of her husband by a demon. She shouted at SOWDHASAN, " You are a man of deviant behaviour. Your mind was corrupted. We were about to enjoy our married life. But, then before me having a pleasure with my husband, you committed the deadly sin of killing him. Now, I am craving for him. I am left with no other option. I can never give birth to a offspring through him. I was forcibly seperated from him, by you. You are the root cause of all my sufferings. I curse you that, your life will end when you indulge in carnal pleasure with a lady."

After cursing SOWDHASAN, she made a very firm decision. She wished to leave this material world. SHe accumulated the bones of her husband. She burnt the left over remains of her husband's body in the fire. She entered the divine fire and ended her life. She attained the divine celestial worlds like DEVALOKHAM.

SOWDHASAN roamed in forest as a beast for 12 years. The period of curse received from VASISTA RISHI was over. He regained his originality. He returned to his kingdom. He was enjoying the royal luxuries happily to his hearts full. Once, he wished to enjoy the carnal pleasure wih his wife namely MADHYANTHYA DEVI. She wisely stopped him. She reminded him about the curse given by the wife of BRAHMIN.

Then he forsaked the carnal pleasure completely. So, he was left with no offspring. The ruling hierarchy became a destitiude, with the lack of successor to rule it. Relaizing the situation, VASISTA RISHI, wished to change the destiny of SOWDHASAN. Through the divine grace of SATHGURU, the couple were fortuned to have a offspring to continue their ruling sceptre.

The curse givne by VASISTA RISHI remained irreversible. It had the ill - effects of receiving one more curse from the wife of BRAHMIN. But, all these ill - effects were once again washed away by the divine grace of SATHGURU. The divine grace of SATHGURU is abundant. They have the power to change the destiny of one's life. The curse or boon received from them has a great significanc ein one's life. Even the curse received from a SATHGURU bestows great lessons as a blesssings in disguize. But, one should never think ill of a SATHGURU and receive a curse from HIM.

MADHYANTHYA became pregnant. She was carrying the foetus in the womb. A divine mystery lies in this. She was carrying the foetus for 7 years accumulating to 84 months. But then, she never gave birth the child to the external world.

Now, see the divine power of SATHGURU. The child born through the divine grace of SATHGURU remains an exception to the material context. The divien grace of SATHGURU is exceptional. The divine happenings crossing in the life of SHISHYA's (devotees) by the power of SATHGURU, remains a miracle to the material world. The same thing happened to MADHYANTHYA DEVI.

Through suitable means and by using a hard stone as an instrument, VASISTA RISHI paved way for the birth of the child. The child was born with the help of a hard stone. So, he was called as ASHMAKAN (ASHMAKA - hard stone). ASHMAKAN ruled the entire world under his sceptre. He enjoyed the material prosperities. After the end of his life, he attained the higher celestial wrolds of DEVA LOKHAM. His life ended happily through the divine grace of SATHGURU.

The son of ASHMAKAN was called as MOOLAKAN. He was also called as NAREE KAVACHAN.

A story runs behind this...

In the divine incarnation of BHAGAVAN, there comes a significant role, in the name of PARASURAMAR. He was born to RISHI JAMADHAGNI and RENUKA DEVI. A ruler committed the deadly sin of killing JAMADHAGNI RISHI. For the revenge of it, PARASURAMAR made a pledge to kill the 21 successive generations of any ruling kingdom, spreading along the entire earth. PARASURAMAR took revenge on rulers and HE had shown to the world that the power of a BRAHMIN SADHU is enormous and is far superior to any tyrant ruler, prevailing in the entire earth, at any point of time.

It is during this time, MOOLAKAN was born. So, he was protected by ladies under the disguize of a female child. So, he was called as NAREE KAVACHAN (One who is protected by ladies). NAREE - Ladies KAVACHA - Protection.

PARASURAMAR killed the 21 successive generations of rulers, in the entire world. There remained no ruler, except for MOOLAKAN, in the entire world, representing the root of a big tree of KSHATHRIYA's (Rulers). Thus from MOOLAKAN, the tree of KSHATHRIYA's (rulers) started sprouting once again. In the proud heriditary of MOOLAKAN, came the ruler by name KATVANGAN.

We have already seen the KATVANGA MUKTHI (Salvation to Katvangan) in one of our earlier articles. KATVANGAN praises the glory of BRAHMINS (sadhu's). He says, " I love BRAHMINS. They are so dearer to me. I will forsake my sons, welath, ruling kingdom as well as my wife but not the divine company of BRAHMINS ( SATHGURU's company namely SATHSANGAM).

Let my mind be always in the path of righteousness. The BRAHMINS have the universal vision of seeing the BHAGAVAN in each and every one. Through their company, I was fortuned to have the divine mercy of BHAGAVAN. I am fortuned to know my life span. I am left with 24 minutes time in my life span. Now, I fully devote my life towards devotion. Let me attain salvation. "

Thus KATVANGAN attained the salvation within 24 minutes. We are fortuned to have this life. But, are we spending every 24 minutes of time usefully in devotion leading to true happiness?
One can answer this question with acknowledgement, within his / her mind. We are fortuned to have our SATHGURU and SATHSANGAM. Let our life be a blissful one.

SOWDHASA UPAKYANAM

BHAGEERATHAN remains an ideal for the quality of perseverance and determination. He was praying at the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN. The river Ganga was in heaven. He took the hercullian task of of bringing it down to earth. No one can ever imagine of bringing a heavenly river to earth. He took the challenge and through perseverance and determination, he achieved it. He had the full confidence of purifying the river Ganga by the power of SATHSANGAM.

The task before us, may seem to be unsurmountable. But, through constant chanting of RADHEKRISHNA NAMA JAPAM and having a unswerved confidence in the power of SATHGURU, we can taste the nectar of success in our life.

Many centuries rolled on....

In the proud heriditary of BHAGEERATHAN, there came another ruler called SOWDHASAN. He was also called as MITHRASAHAN. Some people used to call him as KALMASHANGRI.

Once SOWDHASAN went to forest, for hunting. There he was encountered by a demon. He killed the demon, but spared the demon's brother. For the revenge of it, the demon's brother disguized himself as a cook and started working in the kitchen of the royal chamber. He was waiting for a suitable time to take the revenge on SOWDHASAN.

A time came in favour of him. Once, VASISTA RISHI came to the palace of SOWDHASAN. He was the royal advisory (SATHGURU) to the proud ruling hierarchy of SOWDHASAN and his forefathers dating back to BHAGEERATHAN and his proud ancestors. The demon under the disguize of cook, took note at the arrival of VASISTA RISHI. He served the meat of human being, in a suitably modified form. On seeing the dish, VASISTA RISHI grew angry at the misconduct of SOWDHASAN. He cursed SOWDHASAN to become a demon, who ate at human beings. But, soon after the cursing, VASISTA RISHI realized that it was the tactics played by the demon.

So, VASISTA RISHI restricted the time period of curse to 12 years. On receiving the curse from VASISTA RISHI, out of anger SOWDHASAN wished to curse the SATHGURU. But, was luckily stopped by his wife namely MADHYANTHYA.

When he was about to curse by sprinkling the water, he saw the divine DARSHAN of entire world filled with human beings (Universal vision of mankind). So, left with no other option, he sprinkled the water on to his feet. So, the legs turned black.

The curse or boon given by a SATHGURU remains irreversible, except at the will of SATHGURU. It is really atrocious and ruining to think ill of SATHGURU. The hatred or angry shown at the conduct of SATHGURU, will not bring fortune in life. Knowing this divine knowledge, out of divine wisdom, MADHYANTHYA stopped SOWDHASAN. He obeyed the advice of her, just like a friend's advice (FRIEND - MITHRA). Since, he obeyed the advice of MITHRA, he was called as MITHRA SAHAN.

By sprinkling the water on to his legs, his legs turned black. So he was called as KALMASHANGRI (Some thing that describes black colour feet). SOWDHASAN became a demon, and started roaming in the forest. He saw a BRAHMIN COUPLE, in the forest, when they were about to enjoy their happy wedding life.

The demon turned SOWDHASAN was very hungry. He took the BRAHMIN in his hands. Seeing this, the wife of the BRAHMIN requested SOWDHASAN,

" We are very humble. We are the citizens of your country. By birth, you are not a demon. You belong to the proud hierarchy of IKSHVAGU. You are the husband of MADHYANTHYA DEVI, a lady of divine wisdom. We haven't yet enjoyed our family life. We need a offspring, to continue our heriditary. So, please spare my husband.

This body is the divine abode of BHAGAVAN. When this body becomes dead, the soul goes out of the body. This body behaves as an instrument in gaining the material and spiritual prosperity, leading to salvation. So, killing a human being will ruin all these great beneficiaries. So, killing a person is a deadly sin. So, please don't do it. She begged at the demon, like any thing to spare her husband.

My husband is a BRAHMIN. He has the universl vision of seeing BHAGAVAN in each and every one. He remains pure and virgin in his characters. He meditates thouroughly on to the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN. You belong to the proud heriditary of IKSHVAGU. You are born in the heriditary of noble rulers. Please don't go away from the path of righteousness. Please spare my husband.

It is a sin to kill a cow. In the same way, it is a deadly sin to kill a BRAHMIN of poise character. So, please don't do it. Even after all these explanations, if you feel like eating him, please eat me first. I am dead, at the loss of him. Please eat me first. I want to leave this world, before my husband. "

When she was begging at him like this, SOWDHASAN took the BRAHMIN by his hand and ate him just like a tiger preying at a cow. On seeing this, the wife of BRAHMIN gave a curse to SOWDHASAN.

Do you want to know the curse and the after effects of it.

Wait till the next issue.

Till then, let us chant RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM continously and receive the bliss of BHAGAVAN. Let the GLORY of SATHGURU and SATHSANGAM be spread always.

SOWDHASA UPAKYANAM

The story of river Ganga is as follows...

VAMANA BHAGAVAN (the divine incarnation of BHAGAVAN as a dwarf BRAHMIN SADHU) went to the place of MAHABALI (a ruler who was conducting the 100th ASHWAMEDHA YAGNAM). He asked for the land covering the 3 feet distance of his tiny feet, as covered by him. MAHABHALI gave the land to VAMANA BHAGAVAN. On receiving the DHANAM (gift), the joy of BHAGAVAN grew no bound.

BHAGAVAN's body started growing. BHAGAVAN grew all along the entire earth and heaven. There VAMANA BHAGAVAN was called as THRIVIKRAMAN. By his first feet, BHAGAVAN measured the entire heaven. By the second feet, BHAGAVAN measured the entire earth. For the third feet, BHAGAVAN ruled the head of MAHABALI.

BHAGAVAN blessed MAHABALI by keeping his divine feet on to the head of MAHABALI. BHAGAVAN sent him to the BADHALA LOKHAM (Under surface of earth). There BHAGAVAN safeguards the kingdom of MAHABALI, by performing the duty of gate keeper. See, the divine mercy of BHAGAVAN. BHAGAVAN guards the kingdom of a ruler, as a gate- keeper.

See, How humble BHAGVAN is? BHAGAVAN binds himself to pure unconditional divine love. The divine gift (DHANAM) offered by MAHABALI made BHAGAVAN happy. In return of it, BHAGAVAN started protecting the welfare of MAHABALI, by doing the duty of gate - keeper. Such is the magnanimity and simplicity of BHAGAVAN.

VAMANA BHAGAVAN ruled the entire heaven by his first feet. When the leg was extended to heaven, it was touching the VAIKUNDAM (the divine abode of BHAGAVAN, kept high above all, in heaven). At that time, BRAHMA BHAGAVAN(the god of creation) was fortuned to have the DARSHAN (SIGHT) of the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN. He, at once purified the feet by holy water. The water that purified the divine feet of BHAGAVAN, by the BRAHMA BHAGAVAN became the river GANGA and was in the heaven. River Ganga has the greatest glory of attaining the purity through the power of the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN, enacted in the presence of BRAHMA BHAGAVAN.

Comin to the story...

RUDHRA BHAGAVAN gave his blessings to BHAGEERATHAN. River Ganga started flowing from heaven in an atrocious speed. RUDHRA BHAGAVAN received the river Ganga on to his head. He slowly, let it down to earth. Now, the speed of Ganga was bearable.

BAGEERATHAN went on, in his divine chariot. It was a divine chariot capable of moving in an unimaginable speed. River Ganga closely followed him. The holy river Ganga went all through the earth. BHAGEERATHAN went to the place of KAPILA BHAGAVAN, where his ancestors were burnt to ashes.

River Ganga touched the ashes. On attaining the SATHSANGAM (the company of holy people) with river Ganga, the sons of SAGARAN, who were burnt to ashes attained salvation. Now, one can understand the glory of SATHSANGAM. The sons of SAGARAN, committed the deadly sin of ill - treating a SADHU (SATHGURU), namely KAPILA BHAGAVAN. The bane received from him, remained irreversible. Even the holiness of river Ganga remained incapable of ridiculing the sin.

BHAGEERATHAN trusted at the divine glory of SADHU (SathGuru). He expalined the glory of SADHU's to river Ganga. The power of Sadhu can burn the sins to ashes. They have the power to burn the entire sins of mankind. It is this assurance from a devotee, that pleased the river Ganga. The purity of SADHU's can purify the sins burdened on to the river Ganga. Such is the divine glory of SATHGURU.

On attaining the SATHSANGAM with river Ganga, the restless soul attained peace. The SATHSANGAM can give peace to restless soul. The restless soul attained salvation.
BHAGAVATHAM explains the glory of river Ganga, as follows...

"People who meditate and pray on to the lotus feet of river Ganga, will attain salvation. River Ganga attained the purity from the divine feet of BHAGAVAN. The holiness of river Ganga, adds to her glory, the divine power of SATHGURU. Such is the divine grace of GANGA. It can eradicate the viscious cycle of SAMSARA BANDHAM (the cycle of birth and death carved by the unfulfilled wishes, imprinted during the life span).

The SADHU's remain selfless. They meditate fully on to the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN. The chanting of NAMAM reverberates in their each and every nerve. They meditate fully with single mindedness on to the BHAGAVAN, and forsake the sufferings of life, just like the events that took place in dream. They take this life as a dream drama, enacted in the world stage, directed by the divine wish of BHAGAVAN, controlled and oscillated by the threads of emotions, just like the dolls in the puppet - show.

Knowing this ultimate reality, they detach themself from the fruits of actions. They surrender the fruits of actions on to the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN. They remain burdenless. Many SADHU's (SATHGURU) take bath in the holy river Ganga. The company of SATHSANGAM (SATHGURU) makes the river Ganga, a holier one. Such is the glory of SADHU's and the holiness of river Ganga, got through SATHSANGAM."

More to come on the moral aspects of this story.

Wait till the next issue.

Till then, let us chant RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM continously and receive the bliss of BHAGAVAN. Let the glory of SATHSNAGAM and SATHGURU be spread always.

KAPILA BHAGAVAN gave his blessings to AMSUMAN. The forefathers of AMSUMAN were burnt to ashes. Their soul can be purified through the holy Ganga river, in heaven. The river Ganga is a embodiment of virtue. It has the divine power of BHAGAVAN. It can purify the sins and give salvation to the restless soul.

River Ganga was in heaven. AMSUMAN handed over the throne to his son DHILEEPAN. He went to forest. He prayed for many years, in vigourous meditation, begging the divine grace of BHAGAVAN to bring down the Ganga from heaven to earth. His prayer was not answered till his end of life. He ended his life, with an unfulfilled desire of bringing down the Ganga river.

The successor of AMSUMAN namely DHILEEPAN forsaked the ruling throne. After the demise of his father, he went to forest and continued the prayer. He was praying to BHAGAVAN fervently. Many years rolled on and he was ageing towars his death. His life also ended with a unfulfilled desire of purifying the sins of his ancestors through the river Ganga.

Then came BHAGEERATHAN. He went to forest. He sat in meditation. He was doing vigorous meditation. He prayed wholeheartedly on to the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN. His mind was fully absorbed in the divine feet of BHAGAVAN. He became immersed with BHAGAVAN. The chanting of NAMAM (Nama Japam) went on continously and the body was fully magnetized with the power of NAMA JAPAM. Ganga Devi appeared before him. She gave the DARSHAN (Divien appearence before human eyes) to BHAGEERATHAN. She granted him, the boon of coming to the earth.

BHAGEERATHAN became enchanted. He requested river Ganga to pass on from one place to another, in the earth. To this river Ganga replied, " I will be flowing in a tremendous speed, which the earth may not withstand. So, I will be piercing the earth and my flow will go to the underneath of earth and not to the surface of earth. So, tell me who will be shouldering the responsibility of controlling my tremendous power? One more thing, I don't like coming to earth. People in earth behave selfishly. They do many sins. They will burden me with their sins. Now, I am pure. By their actions, they will contaminate me. They will make me impure. Now, tell me who will be shouldering the responsibility of removing my sins?"

To this BHAGEERATHAN replied,

" Oh! River Ganga! You are the diivne mother. You are the embodiment of pure and virtue. You are the purifier of sins. Your divine grace can purify the sins of entire world. People do many sins, out of selfishness. But among them, are many holy people, who devote their entire life to the service of mankind and BHAGAVAN. The SADHU (SATHGURU) remains selfless. He craves for nothing. He remains immersed in BHAGAVATH DHYANAM (meditation of BHAGAVAN) . He prays for the welfare of mankind, all through his life. He chants the divine name of BHAGAVAN continously. He shoulders the burden of sins, committed by the people all around him. He purifies the sins of entire mankind, by his power of devotion.

The SADHU's (SATHGURU) will be coming to you, on pilgrimge. They will take holy bath in you. By attaining SATHSANGAM (company of SATHGURU), you can be liberated from the sins of entire mankind. Oh! River Ganga! You can feel secure in the hands of SADHU's (SATHGURU). They will burn the sins to ashes and will protect your purity.

Your tremendous power can be shouldered down by the RUDHRA BHAGAVAN. He has the power of withstanding your tremendous speed. He can controll your speed and let you down slowly to earth, so that you can flow freely in the surface of earth.

On listening to these words, river Ganga became happy. BHAGEERATHAN prostrated on to the lotus feet of river Ganga. River Ganga gave her blessings and went to her divine abode. BHAGEERATHAN sat in meditation. He meditated for the divine grace of RUDHRA BHAGAVAN (Lord Shiva). Lord Shiva was described to be a easy boon - giver. He becomes happy quickly. In the same way, he gets angry quickly. BHAGEERATHAN prayed to RUDHRA BHAGAVAN, to shoulder the power of river Ganga. Lord Shiva, granted him the boon. The story of river Ganga has the significance with that of BHAGAVAN.

Wait till next issue, to know the significane of Ganga.

Till then, Let us Chant RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM continously and enjoy the bliss of BHAGAVAN.

Let the glory of SATHSANGAM and SATHGURU be spread always.

SAGARA CHARITHRAM

Vide 9 - 8

(9 th Skandham, 8 th Adhyayam)

The sons of SAGARAN were burnt to ashes by the power of KAPILA BHAGAVAN. The divine horse kept for the purpose of ASHWAMEDHA YAGANM, was missing. SAGARAN's sons were also missing. SAGARAN became depressed. He was praying to BHAGAVAN whole heartedly, to come out of the problem. SAGARAN was having two wives namely SUMATHI and KESINI. The sons of SUMATHI were burnt to ashes. The son of KESINI was called as ASAMANJAS. He behaved indifferently. He was aYOGI, in the previous birth. Knowing about his previous birth, he behaved indifferently in the present life. So people called him as ASAMANJAS (Dull and indifferent). He behaved like a stupid. His attitudes seemed to be mad.

He wish to detatch himself from the bindings in the form of royal kingdom and servants. He started giving troubles to people around him. His behaviour made everyone horrified. People started hating him. on the banks of SARAYU river, small kids used to play, making fun out of their time. ASAMANJAS threwed the children in to the SARAYU river. On hearing this sad news, people became shocked and terrified.

SAGARAN grew angry over this and ordered his son to leave the palace, atonce. On hearing this news, ASAMANJAS never felt any thing bad about it. He accepted it, as a blessing. He left the palace immediately. He went to the banks of SARAYU river. Through his magical powers, he brought back the children and handed over them to their parents. He entered in to the path of detatchment and lead a simple life forsaking the pleasures of royal luxuries. He entred into the path of devotion leading to salvation.

The people of AYODHYA grew happy. They understood the glory of ASAMANJAS. They praised him as a great YOGI with mystical powers. They started acknowledging him, as a divine incarnation, in human form. On hearing about the glory of ASAMANJAS, SAGARAN became happy. He started regretting for the loss of his son namely, ASAMANJAS. But, ASAMANJAS never set back himself from the path of devotion. He attained salvation finally.

The son of ASAMANJAS was called as AMSUMAN. Obeying the orders of SAGARAN, he went in search of the divine horse. He searched in all directions, but in vain. At last, he found the horse near the ashes in the place of a RSIHI, namely KAPILA BHAGAVAN. He realized KAPILA BHAGAVAN as a divine incarnation in human form.

AMSUMAN prayed to KAPILA BHAGAVAN,

" You are the BHAGAVAN, in human form. The trinity gods in the form of BRAHMA, VISHNU and SHIVA remain unaware about the divine powers of yours. The hidden divine powersof yours remain beyound the capabilities of mind, bodily organs and human emotions. We are humble and remain in the trap of ignorace. How come we can realize the divine powers of yours?

You remain a embodiment of calmness. You are purely SATVIC ( kind and gentle). You remain indifferent to ignorance in the form of angry and laziness. People remain ignorant in realizing the BHAGAVAN as a soul in side the body. They search for BHAGAVAN all- around, but in vain.

The powers of RISHI's were praised by people from time immemorial. But the divine glory of yours, is far superior to them. You represent the divine incarnation of BHAGAVAN. People are binded in the sentimental emotions of creed, jealousy, hatred, ego and other sentimental feelings. They kept themself binded in the homely affairs. They forget the divine divinity kept in them.

You preached us the divine path of YOGA, namely SANKHYA YOGAM. On obeying the principles of SANKHYA YOGAM, one can easily liberate himself from the worldly bindings and attain salvation. I had the fortune of having the DARSHAN of KAPILA BHAGAVAN.

Your DARSHAN enlightened my senses. My bindings were broken. I, pray at your lotus feet wholeheartedly. "

KAPILA BHAGAVAN became happy. He blessed AMSUMAN.

KAPILA BHAGAVAN told AMSUMAN, " Let the horse be taken by you. By sprinkling the holy water of GANGA river, you can find salvation to the sins of your forefathers. The sins made by them remain like a huge mountain. They can be purified only through the GANGA river. They cannnot attain salvation without this.

AMSUMAN prostrated at the lotus feet of KAPILA BHAGAVAN. He left the hermitage. He handed over the horse to SAGARAN. With the blessings of HOWRVA RISHI , the YAGNAM was completed. Obeying the orders of SATHGURU, namely HOWRVA RISHI, SAGARAN handed over the kingdom to AMSUMAN. AMSUMAN ruled the kingdom with utmost dexterity.

SAGARAN left the palace and followed the path of true devotion. He forsaked every thing. He meditated fully on to BHAGAVAN. His prayer was answered. He finally attained salvation from the worldly bindings.

The blessings of SATHGURU lead the life of SAGARAN to salvation. He attained name and fame in the material standards. He attained salvation in the spiritual pursuit. The blessings of SATHGURU can give the happiness of material and spiritual dimensions of life.

We are fortuned to have our SATHGURU - POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA, IN OUR PRESENCE. Let the blessings of SATHGURU, bring us spiritual and material happiness all along our life, leading to salvation form the worldly bindings.

Let the path of KRISHNA BHAKTHI through the RADHEKRISHNA chanting bring in us the true divinity. Let us move towards the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN and remain blissful, all along our life.

JAI SHREE POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA!

SAGARA CHARITHRAM

Vide 9 - 8
(9th Skandham, 8th Adhyayam)
INDRAN became angry. He was thinking in a crooked way. The pleasures of DEVALOKHAM, kept him still more tempted. He made a devilish plot, to stop the 100th ASHWAMEDHA YAGNAM. In the YAGNAM, a horse will be symbolized as a prestigious representation of the royal kingdom of the ruler. The horse will be decorated with gold ornaments. After the end of YAGNAM, the horse will be purified by chating Vedic hymns. Then the horse will be sent to various places. A huge army will follow the horse.

A ruler who wish to challenge the supremacy of the performer of YAGNAM, can snatch this horse forcefully. The huge army following the horse will come to the rescue of horse. The kings who wish to accept the supremacy of the performer of YAGNAM, will honour the horse with valuable ornaments. The performer of YAGNAM, should take utmost care in preserving the horse from enemies.

As a ruler of DEVALOKHAM, INDRAN knew this very well. As per Vedic sayings, for any reason if the 100th ASHWAMEDHA YAGNAM gets stopped means, then the powers will be lost. As per Vedic saying, he cannot enter heaven. SAGARAN was performing the 100th one.

INDRAN snatched the horse through his magical powers. He was coward. He had not challenged SAGARAN for a battle. Instead, he took the path of cheating the enemy. He snatched the horse and kept it in a secret place. The horse was missing. Knowing this, SAGARAN ordered his sons to search the divine horse kept for the YAGNAM.

Obeying the orders of father, they searched for the horse in all directions. They wandered to different places and searched for the horse, but in vain. At last, they saw a hermitage of a RISHI. In the place of RISHI, they saw the horse. The RISHI was a deep rooted YOGI. He was none other than KAPILA BHAGAVAN. BHAGAWATHAM describes the incarnations of BHAGAVAN.

KAPILA BHAGAVAN comes in the list ans he preaches about SANKHYA YOGAM. The Yoga philosophy profounded by him, was called as NIRESWARA SANKHYAM. He explained the methods of deep rooted meditation and ultimately liberating one self from the bindings of world.

Coming to the story.,

KAPILA BHAGAVAN was in meditation. He had forgotten the entire world. He had forgotten himself in the meditation. He became one with the inner soul and attained a state of absolute silence. He never knew any thing about the surrounding happenings of the world.

The plot made by INDRAN was very tactful. He knew the power of KAPILA BHAGAVAN. He snatched the horse of SAGARAN and placed it, in the hermitage of KAPILA BHAGAVAN.
Kapilar was in deep meditation for a long time and he never knew about the devilish plot executed by INDRAN.

On the search of horse, the sons of SAGARAN came to the place of KAPILA BHAGAVAN and found the horse there. They thought that KAPILA BHAGAVAN was the thief. They concluded that, HE was enacting the drama of meditation by closing HIS eyes, to escape from the royal punishment. They grew very angry. They lost their senses and reasoning power. Without analyzing the situation, they decided to kill KAPILA BHAGAVAN.

Now, see the dimensions of ANGRY.,

They developed a strong sense of affection to the horse. It represented their prestige in the society. At the loss of it, they became depressed. Obeying the command of father, they searched for it in all directions, but in vain. At last, they have found it in a RISHI's place.

At the loss of a thing of pleasure, the sense of 'EGO' in the mind gets aroused to extreme. At the loss of the horse (prestige), the 'ego' of them gone to the extreme. They never analyzed the situation. At once, they decided to kill the RISHI.

They raised slogans, " Let HIM be killed., Let HIM be killed right at the minute.," and wished to attack KAPILA BHAGAVAN through their weapons. SAGARAN's wife was SUMATHI. She gave birth to 60,000 children. Now these 60,000 warriors of SAGARAN's heridity wished to kill the RISHI. obeying the oreders of father, they should have informed the issue to SAGARAN. But, they never did like that. They lost their mental balance.

At once they gathered as a team and wished to attack the RISHI with weapons. The voice raised by the 60,000 people were of unimaginable dimensions. KAPILA BHAGAVAN was in meditaion for a long time, rolling to many hundreds of years. HIS body resembled a burning furnace, emnating heat radiations all around. KAPILA RISHI opened HIS eyes. It was burning with fire.

The hidden fire kept inside HIS body, came out. At once, the fire burnt the sons of SAGARAN, in to ashes. Even though they were huge in number (say 60,000), they were burnt in no minutes time. It resembled as though they were roasted like small insects, in a burning fire. Now, one can understand the destiny of evil - doers, who hinder the path of devotion of a SADHU.

More to come on the successive issues.,

SAGARA CHARITHRAM

SAGARAN ruled the entire world, under his sceptre. He faced many battles, with enemies like THALAJANGAN, YAVANAN, SAKHAN, HAIHAYAN and BHARBHARAN. The mentioned names represent the mighty emperors of that time. On hearing about the glory of SAGARAN, they grew angry over him. They attacked him time and again, in the battle field. SAGARAN seeked the blessings of SATHGURU. He was fortuned to have a SATHGURU like HOWRVA RISHI. SATHGURU guided him towards victory, in the battle field. Obeying the words of SATHGURU, he fought bravely in the battle field and conquered the enemies.

SAGARAN wished to punish them through death sentence. He wished to kill them. But, the SATHGURU interfered in this matter and advised him to spare the life of enemies. Obeying the words of SATHGURU, he allowed the enemies to rule their respective nations, under his sceptre. Through these victories, SAGARAN acquired many nations in the world. Knowing about the glory of him, many other emperors voluntarily obeyed at the feet of SAGARAN. Some emperors extended a friendly hand shake to SAGARAN. He accepted the friendly deal offered by them. Through compassionate love and bravery as given by SATHGURU, SAGARAN ruled the entire world.

SAGARAN obeyed at the feet of SATHGURU. He seeked the blessings of SATHGURU, throughout his life. The blessings of SATHGURU made him all- powerful. The entire world obeyed at the feet of SAGARAN. The divine power of SATHGURU can change the entire world. Through SAGARAN, the SATHGURU changed the entire world. We can draw inspiration from the life story of SAGARAN. A divine secret, lies in this story. If we obey to the coomands of SATHGURU as per the divine will of BHAGAVAN, then the entire world will obey to the dictates and commands coming from our mouth.

HOWRVA RISHI preached him about the glory, generosity and other divine qualities of BHAGAVAN. During that time, mighty emperors used to perform a YAGNA called ASHWAMEDHA YAGNAM. It symbolized the glory of an emperor. In this YAGNAM, BHAGAVAN was ritually invoked as YAGNA NARAYANAN. It was performed to please BHAGAVAN. As per the vedic sayings, a ruler can enter heaven by performing 100 ASHWAMEDHA YAGNAM. The SATHGURU advised him to perform this YAGNAM.

Obeying the words of SATHGURU, SAGARAN performed the YAGNA with utmost caution and obedience. He invoked the blessings of BHAGAVAN. He prostrated at the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN whole - heartedly. He thanked BHAGAVAN whole - heartedly for granting a SATHGURU like HOWRVA RISHI. He prostrated at the lotus feet of SATHGURU, time and again. His mind was filled with the divine joy of SATHGURU's abundant divine grace.

As per the VEDIC sayings, the ruler of heaven was awarded with a post called DEVENDRAN. Heaven remains a place of joy with all kind of luxuries with full of enchantment and merry all around the life. Many emperors prformed ASHWAMEDHA YAGNAM, eagerly awaiting to reach the 100 th one. INDRAN enjoys the pleasure of heaven and he craves to remain there permanently for a long time. At the loss of luxuries, people get angry over the hindrances. The same goes well with any one holding a high post comprising of luxuries and powers. They forget the uncertainity about their life path and imagines their life to be immortal. INDRAN remains no exception to this. He was caught in the trap of post and powers.

BHAGAVAN stress the uncertainity of heaven through his preachins to ARJUNA. The mind wandering in the waves of sensual organs, seeks solace in luxuries. The luxuries enjoyed through senses remains a burning fire. The growing years adds fuel to the fire of burning desire. The burning fire of sensual passion spreads in all directions and engulfs the life path of human beings. The mind develops a sentimental attachment towards the luxuries. This attachment brings in a sense of EGO in the mind. The ego developed in the mind brings in, indecisiveness towards any upcoming hindrance.

Under the trap of indecision, the mind takes shelter at the weapons of anger and hatred. The mind forces the human being to destroy the hindrance by force. The angry and hatred developed in the mind, ruins the life. He forgets the true identity and purpose of life. Forgetting the self - identity, leads the life to nowhere just like the vanishing clouds.

Now, INDRAN was forced to face a hindrance in the form of SAGARAN. The royal luxuries enjoyed by him, tempted his mind towards the evil notions of life. Instead of peace, he took violence as a weapon to get rid of the hindrance. He made a devilish plot to degrade the glory of SAGARAN.

Do you want to know the dimensions of angry and hatred as proclaimed by INDRAN?

Wait till the next issue.

Let the blessings of SATHGURU prevent us from this MAYA in the form of hatred and angry.

Let our life be filled with the divine joy, got through the chanting of RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM.

Let the divine grace of KRISHNA BHAGAVAN spread to one and all in the world, through our SATHGURU - POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA.

JAI SHREE RADHEKRISHNA SATHSANG KI JAY!

JAI SHREE POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA!

SAGARA CHARITHRAM

Vide 9 - 8,
(9 th Skandam, 8 th Adhyayam)

Once upon a time, there live a mighty emperor by name BHAHUKAN. He was ruling his country and gathered a mass support from the neighbouring emperors. As days rolled on, many emperors got envy at the success of BHAHUKAN. Once, they made a devilish plot and attacked BHAHUKAN, in an unexpected way. As he was unprepared for the war, BHAHUKAN was defeated by the enemies. He was forced to leave his country. BHAHUKAN and his wife left the palace and went to a forest. She was pregnant, during that time.

In the forest, they met a great sage by name HOWRVA RISHI. He was a SATHGURU, in all respect. BHAHUKAN's wife wished to end her life. She was saved by HOWRVA RISHI. The SATHGURU preached her about the glory of human birth. The RISHI explained her about the evil consequences of ending her life, against the divine will of BHAGAVAN. BHAHUKAN's wife got enlightened by the words of SATHGURU. She gave birth to a child. She handed over the child at the lotus feet of SATHGURU and seeked the blessings of SATHGURU.

The SATHGURU gave his blessings to the new born child. He named the child as SAGARAN. BHAHUKAN's wife was served with a food containing poison. As per the divine will of BHAGAVAN, she was luckily saved from the dreadly poison. But the poison entered in to the child's body. So, the baby was poisoned right from the womb. Owing to this reason, the RISHI named him as SAGARAN (SAGARAN - A child born with poison in his body, right from mother's womb).

In a worldly context, one can expect the child to grow in a wrong way. Sonce it was poisoned, many people will fear about his over-all well-being. But, that was not true, in the case of SAGARAN. He received the blessings of SATHGURU. The blessings of SATHGURU can change the destiny of one's life.

SAGARAN was brought up in a healthy divine environment, under the supervision of a SATHGURU, namely HOWRVA RISHI. Even though, he was weak right from his birth, he grew stronger and stronger as days rolled on. That is the glory and the divine mystery of a SATHGURU's divine grace and blessings. Their blessings can reincarnate divinity in one's life. This reincarnation of divinity will bring in a new phase of life, leading to rejeuvenation and revivification.

He became very strong in mind and body. He gathered a huge army and showed his bravery in the battle field. He regained his kingdom and became the emperor of his country. He conquered many nations. As years passed on, he became all - powerful, in ruling each and every nation in the world. He ruled the entire world, under his sceptre. Throughout his life, he seeked the blessings of SATHGURU. He obeyed the orders of SATHGURU and was fortunate to have a SATHGURU like HOWRVA RISHI.

During the past life, he was driven out from the country. His mother was suffering in the forest. Usually people do not welcome loses in life. At the onset of a small defeat, people lose confidence in BHAGAVAN and to the words of SATHGURU. But then, that is not the right attitude towards divinity and devotion. We should have the courage to accept the loses as blessings in disguise, as per the divine will of BHAGAVAN. During the hours of loses, we should seek the blessings of SATHGURU. SAGARAN's mother was fortunate to have a SATHGURU like HOWRVA RISHI.

She lost a very small landscape in this vast world. But for the loss of it, she received an unsurmountable treasure, namely the SATHGURU. To gain a SATHGURU, one can accept the loses in life as a blessings. But, one should not leave the divine blessings of SATHGURU, for the sake of material comforts. The material comforts come and go in life, just like the passing waves in an ocean.

The wave come nearer to us. When we wish to touch it, they go back instantaneously beyound our control. We eagerly await for another wave to touch us. But the same old story repeats. In the same way, the waves of pleasure in the form of material comforts, come and go in this ocean of life. The waves oscillate to and fro in the external world. But, deep within the ocean, there lies a dorment silence, which remains all - powerful, at all times. The power of SATHGURU remains like this dorment silence of an ocean. If we catch at this dorment power, we can control the external ramifications of life.

The hidden power lies in the divine grace of SATHGURU. SAGARAN's mother was fortunate to catch this hidden divine power of a SATHGURU, during the testing times of life. She was beaten ferociously by the wave of life, in this mighty ocean of birth and death cycle. But then, she was fortunate to seek the blessings of SATHGURU. Millions and millions of people enter into motherhood, during each and every day.

But, how many mothers are fortunate to seek the blessings of SATHGURU?

We are fortune to have our SATHGURU - POOJYA SHRI SHRI AMMA, in our presence.

Let our life be filled with the divine grace of SATHGURU.

JAI SHREE RADHEKRISHNA SATHSANG KI JAI!

JAI SHREE POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA!

RANTHI DEVA CHARITHAM

(Vide - 9-21, 9th Skandam, 21st Adhyayam)

Once upon a time, there lived a MAHATHMA by name RANTHI DEVAN. He was a true devotee. He followed the principles of austerity. He was following the principles of non - possession. He forsaked every thing. He lead a simple life. He was suffering under poverty for a long time. He was starving for food and water, but of no avail. 48 days rolled on. The sufferings of poverty remained unbearable.

He remained firm in his principles of devotion. He, wholeheartedly prayed at the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN. On the 49th day, his prayer was answered. As per the divine wish of BHAGAVAN, he got some food. He thanked BHAGAVAN, for the food granted to him. He wanted to have that food, which came accidentaly.

At that time, there came a unexpected guest. He was a BRAHMIN of high spiritual value. The BRAHMIN requested some food from RANTHI DEVAN. BHAGAVAN resides in each and every one as a soul. RANTHI DEVAN, prayed at the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN resding within the body of that BRAHMIN. He thanked BHAGAVAN for sending a guest of high spiritual value. He gave some food to the BRAHMIN.

When he was about to have the remaining food, there came another guest. The guest was ugly in appearence. A bad smell spreaded from his body, which made him still more unreachable. RANTHI DEVAN was a MAHATHMA. He had the universal vision of seeing BHAGAVAN in each and every human being. He thanked BHAGAVAN for sending a guest of noble heart. He gave some food to that guest. RANTHI DEVAN was left with very small amount of food.

When he was about to have the food, there came another guest. The guest was followed by dogs. He requested some food from RANTHI DEVAN. RANTHI DEVAN handed over the left over food to the third guest. The guest shared that food with his dogs. Now, RANTHI DEVAN was left with no more food, to passify his hunger. He searched for some thing to quench his thirst. He was fortuned to have some water kept in the pot.

On seeing the water, his mind got passified. When he was about to drink the water, there came a cobbler. The cobbler requested some water from RANTHI DEVAN. RANTHI DEVAN happily handed over the water pot, to the guest. The guest drank the water and went away from the place.

RANTHI DEVAN prayed to BHAGAVAN,

" Oh! BHAGAVAN! I don't want any mystical occult powers from you. I don't want salvation (MUKTHI -LIBERATION) from this cycle of birth and death. On the contrary, I want to beg sufferings from you. Let me burden my self with the sufferings of entire mankind. You remain all- pervasive as a soul in each and every one. Let the blessings of BHAGAVAN grant me the power to eradicate the sufferings of mankind. Let the entire world be filled with joy and happiness, at the expense of my life."

RANTHI DEVAN gave every thing to the guest, even during the testing times of poverty. He prayed for the well-being of entire mankind, at the expense of his personal life. He abandoned every thing. He was caught in the trap of the sufferings of poverty. But, he never developed a sense of angry and frustration towards the evils prevailing in the society. On the contrary, he developed a sense of love and compassion towards the entire mankind. He prayed for the entire world, forgetting totally about his personal well- being and nourishment. He remained selfless. Such is the glory of a MAHATHMA (SATHGURU).

BHAGAVAN wished to explain the glory of a MAHATHMA, through the life story of RANTHI DEVAN. The trinity gods in the form of BRAHMA, VISHNU and RUDHRA BHAGAVAN came to his place as a guest (BHAGAVAN can be found in the place of SATHGURU). BHAGAVAN enacted this drama and proved the world that the inner heart of a MAHATHMA remains selfless, even during the hours of endanger.

RANTHI DEVAN followed the principles of austerity, till his end of life. He had the fortune of seeing BHAGAVAN in true form. BHAGAVAN appeared before him. RANTHI DEVAN prostrated on to the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN. He was very happy to have the DARSHAN of BHAGAVAN. His mind was contented with the divine joy of BHAGAVAN. He achieved the ultimate goal of life - attaining BHAGAVAN in true sense.

With the blessings of BHAGAVAN, ranthi devan was able to win the MAYA (illusion) in the form of sufferings. With the blessings of BHAGAVAN and through the constant chanting of RADHEKRISHNA nama japam as givne by our SATHGURU - POOJYA SHRI SHRI AMMA, we can also cross the dire illusions in the form of pain and sufferings.

The noble heart of RANTHI DEVAN symbolizes the inner heart of a SATHGURU. The heart of a SATHGURU is full of compassion and divine love. The SATHGURU burdens the sufferings of devotee's, on to their shoulders. The SATHGURU cleanses the sins of devotee's through their chanting. They pray for the well- being of entire mankind - namely LOKHA SAMASTHA SUKHINO BHAVANTHU. We are fortune to have our SATHGURU - POOJYA SHRI SHRI AMMA, in our presence. Let the blessings of our SATHGURU, make our life a blissful one.

JAI SHREE POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA!

JAI SHREE RADHEKRISHNA SATHSANG KI JAI!

PURANJAYA UPAKYANAM

TRIUMPHANT VICTORY OF RIGHTEOUSNESS

Once upon a time, there lived a mighty emperor by name IKSHVAGU. He ruled the entire world, under his sceptre. Once, he performed a YAGNA to please the departed souls ultimately bringing in peace and prosperity to his life. He had a son called VIGUSHI. For the sake of YAGNA, he ordered his son to go to the forest and collect some ritual things. Obeying the order, VIGUSHI went to the forest and roamed to different places and collected the things. He hunted many animals. He felt weary and tired. He wanted to have some food. He searched for food, but in vain. His devilish instinct came to play. He was tempted by it, and wish to have the meat of rabbit. He did the sin of killing a rabbit.

He returned to palace and handed over the things. His father asked the blessings of VASISHTAR (Sathguru). Usually, the ritual things were purified by sprinkling some water and through chanting of vedic hymns. This process of purification is called as PROKSHANAM. Vasishtar was called to perform it. He saw the things. At once, he realized the sin of VIGUSHI. He told IKSHVAGU, " the things gathered by him are of no use to the divine ritual. They are unethical to religious norms. He had commited a sin. Please find alternative. He had the meat of a rabbit. Do some thing on this."

Having received those firing words, IKSHVAGU ordered his son to leave the country at the earliest. Obeying his order, VIGUSHI went on pilgrimage to different temples and seeked the blesings of BHAGAVAN. His sin was thus washed away by it. During this time, IKSHVAGU ruled the country. He was spiritually inclined to listening to the preachings of VASISHTAR. He chose the path of devotion and wished to attain salvation. He was firm in devotion. He forsaked the ruling powers, and went on complete meditation. He finally attained salvation, leaving his material body in this material world.

A country without a ruler behaves as a destitude. Having left with no other option, VIGUSHI was asked to take the ruling power of the country. He ruled the country with utmost care and caution. He did many YAGNA's and received the blessings of noble seers. He was fortuned to have a son by name, PURANJAYAN, who is going to bring glory to his name. Puranjayan was brought up in the helathy environment of divine sanccity. He was blessed by noble seers. Their blessings are ging to bring name and fame to PURANJAYAN. He was also called by INDRAVAHAN, KAGUTHSTHAN. A story run behinds this.

The story is as follows,

" Once there broke a ferocious war between good and evil. The war was between DEVA's (righteous) and ASURA's (evil minded). In the beginning, the power of evil took hedge over the righteousness. The ASURA's fought well. They attacked the DEVA's with deadly weapons. The army of deva's splitted and they were driven out of the battle field. On realizing their miserable state, they sought the help of their SATHGURU. Seeking the blessings of him, the DEVA's approached PURANJAYAN to save their lives. Obeying the divine command of BHAGAVAN, PURANJAYAN took the leadership of the army of DEVA's. Obeying the command of BHAGAVAN, DEVENDRAN (the ruler of DEVA's) took the form of a big buffalow. He became the vechicle of PURANJAYAN in the battle field. So PURANJAYAN was called as INDRAVAHAN. He kept a very firm hold on the back of this buffalow. So he was called KAGUTHSTHAN (a man having a very firm hold on the back of a buffalow).

In the battle, many ASURA'S threw weapons on PURANJAYAN. On relaizing the upcoming danger, PURANJAYAN meditated for a second and threw arrows from his bow. It resembled as a rainfall in the battle field. The arrows attacked the ASURA's and no one was left unattended by the arrows. Thousands and thousands of heads of the army of ASURA's fel on the ground. The heads choked off from the body of ASURA's resembled like a mountain built by heads. Thus the army of ASURA's were shattered into pieces. The DEVA's blew their triumphant conch and announced their victory over the ASURA'S in the battle field, to the world. Thus PURANJAYAN brought victory to the DEVA'S. PURANJAYAN means, one who had the victory of the enemies palace. On realizing their loss, the left over ASURA's hide themselves in the lower world kept beneath the surface of earth namely PATHALA LOKHAM.

PURANJAYAN was a normal human being. He was brought in the healthy divine atmosphere. This atmosphere and exposure gave him the inner strength to fight against the ASURA's. The glory of human birth is pronounced well, in this story. The human birth is far superior to any birth in any higher worlds of spirituality. One can draw inspiration form the story that," a child brought up in the environment of a SATHGURU through the blessings of a SATHGURU can rule the entire world without fail. The divine blessings of SATHGURU can protect that child from any evil minded people in the form of ASURA's. The child can taste the nectar of victory over the evil." Why can't we taste it, in our lifespan?

Meaning behind the story:

Puranjayan represents the soul (an eagering devotee). Vasishtar represnts the role of SATHGURU. Asura's represent the evil minded people in and around. The deadly weapons repreent the devilish master plot and the tricks and bites kept by them to trap us. The arrows sent by PURANJAYAN is nothing but the NAMA JAPAM (RADHEKRISHNA NAMA JAPAM). The arrows resembled a rainfall. In the same way, the chanting should be continous without any pause. Indran represents the control over bodily organs. The defeat of Indran represnts the bodily imbalances in the form of hot, cold, summer, winter, pleasure, pain, good, bad, health, illness etc., The victory of PURANJAYAN represents the victory of a JEEVATHMA (AN EAGERING SOUL).

The task kept before PURNAJAYAN, seemed to be unaccomplishable. He seeked the blessings of BHAGAVAN and SATHGURU. Having a very strong faith in their words, HE fought againt the mighty rivals namely ASURA's. In the same way, we usually astonish at the prevailing evils in the society. We lack the courage to fight against those social evils. We fear about them. We keep our self locked in our house. But, once if we take a firm decision to fight against these evils, then BHAGAVAN will grant us the necessary strength and courage to win in the battle field.

The strength of inner soul is enormous. Through constant chanting of NAMA JAPAM, one can kindle this spirit. During the time of testing moments, BHAGAVAN will save our life. It is our bounded duty to remember him without fail. The NAMA JAPAM given by our SATHGURU - POOJYA SHRI SHRI AMMA, namely RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM is the opening gateway to MUKTHI (salvation). The victory of inner soul is described as salvation (salvation from worldly bindings).

We are forune to have our SATHGURU-POOJYA SHRI SHRI AMMA, in our presence. Let the chanting of RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM bring us the strength and courage to destory the evils in to ashes. Let the glory of SATHSANGAM and SATHGURU be spreaded always.

JAI SHRI POOJYA SHRI SHRI AMMA!

JAI SHRI RADHEKRISHNA SATHSANG KI JAI!

RADHEKRISHNA...RADHEKRISHNA...RADHEKRISHNA...

ATHRI MAHARISHI

ATHRI MAHARISHI – PRAJA SRISHTI

Once upon a time there lived a very great sage called ATHRI MAHARISHI. He possessed immense spiritual powers. He was a man of noble heart with a divine passion. He was following vigorous meditation. He meditated the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN to his heart’s full. He performed the divine rituals in the true sense of devotion, devoid of any superficial procedures in the form of customs and traditions. His wife was ANASOOYA. She was leading a simple family life. She obeyed the orders of ATHRI MAHARISHI and assisted him in his divine rituals. The couples lead a true divine filled life with full of divine happiness.

After a certain period of time, they longed for a child. They prayed whole-heartedly on to the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN. They prayed for a divine child resembling BHAGAVAN in all attributes of divine qualities. During the time of creation, BHAGAVAN takes the form of BRAHMA. The couples prayed to BRAHMA. Their meditation was powerful. Obeying to their true devotion, BRAHMA (CREATOR) appeared before them. The couples prostrated on to the divine feet of BRAHMA. They praised the glory of BRAHMA by Vedic hymns. Pleased by their devotion, BRAHMA blessed the couple by HIS DIVINE GRACE.

After seeking the blessings of BRAHMA, ATHRI MAHARISHI continued his vigorous meditation. ATHRI RISHI and ANASOOYA went to a place called RUKSHA GIRI (a mountain). The place was beautiful. It was covered with beautiful flowers all around it. Sweet fragrance coming from the flowers enchanted the place. A river by name NIRVINDHYA was flowing along the sides of mountain. The birds made beautiful sounds and the sweetness was spreading in all directions. The place was characterized by dreadful cold winter and scorching hot summer. The conditions seemed to be unbearable. The heat and cold alternatively affected the people residing in it. Only a true YOGI of high spiritual powers can live in that place.

ATHRI RISHI was a true yogi. He performed the YOGIC PRANAYAMAM (BREATH CONTROL). Through the powers of it, he conquered the climatic disturbances in the form of heat and cold. Through the control of breath, one can easily control his emotions. When the mind gets disturbed, the breath moves rapidly in and out from the body. When the breath gets calm down, the mind also attains equilibrium. This state of balanced mind is called as YOGA BHAVAM. Through this, one can easily withstand the climatic changes.

ATHRI RISHI stood on one leg and folded the other leg. He performed meditation in this posture for 100 years. He stood on the tip of his one leg and balanced his weight. His body temperature grew very high. His entire body resembled a burning furnace. As years passed on, heat in the form of divine fire emanated from his body. This divine fire was unbearable. The fire was spreading in all directions through wind force. The divine fire coming from the body of ATHRI RISHI was unbearable to any human being in the entire world. People prayed to BHAGAVAN to save their lives from this scorching divine fire. The divine powers
of a SATHGURU remains unbearable to any human being. They possess immense powers. They keep themselves calm and behave as though they are powerless. But, only during the time of endanger, their true powers will manifest to save the fellowmen.

ATHRI RISHI prayed for a divine incarnation in human form as HIS child. He wished for a child with the powers of creation resembling the BRAHMA, the God of creation. He wished that the child should have the powers to protect the entire world, resembling the VISHNU, the God of protection. He wished that the child should have the powers to destroy the evils completely, just like RUDHRA BHAGAVAN, namely the God of destruction. He longed for a child with all these 3 qualities. BHAGAVAN plays 3 roles namely creation, protection and destruction. BHAGAVAN suitably characterize himself with 3 different qualities namely SATHVIC (Calmness), RAJAS (Violence) and TAMAS (Sluggishness) and accordingly performs the 3 different roles.

ATHRI RISHI and ANASOOYA longed for a child with these 3 divine qualities. Their meditation was powerful enough to bring BHAGAVAN to their place. The BHAKTHI of ATHRI RISHI and ANASOOYA should be taken as a role model. People long for a child, whole-heartedly. How many of us really long for BHAGAVAN as a child in our house?
We wish for a child to continue our heredity. But then, life never ends there. The purpose of life is to enjoy BHAGAVAN in human form during our life- time, it self. As a human being, we have the birth- right to pray for a child as that of BHAGAVAN, resembling him in all the divine qualities.

In the story, pleased by their true devotion, the trinity Gods namely BRAHMA, VISHNU and RUDHRA BHAGAVAN appeared before them. The couples prostrated on to the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN. BRAHMA was seated on his HAMSA VAHANAM (divine swan). VISHNU BHAGAVAN was seated on his GARUDA VAHANAM (divine bird resembling a eagle). RUDHRA BHAGAVAN was seated on his RISHABHA VAHANAM (divine buffalo).
The couples were blessed with the divine grace of BHAGAVAN. The couples praised the glory of BHAGAVAN through VEDIC hymns.

ATHRI RISHI asked BHAGAVAN, “ Oh! BHAGAVAN! We prayed for a child with the divine qualities of BHAGAVAN. I am surprised to have the DARSHAN of trinity gods in the form of BRAHMA, VISHNU and RUDHRA BHAGAVAN. I wish to know the meaning behind this.” To this BHAGAVAN replied, “My dear son, you asked for a child equivalent to BHAGAVAN. In this respect, nothing is equivalent to us. So, as per your request, we wish to take 3 divine incarnations in human form, resembling our divine qualities in all attributes.”

The prayer made by ATHRI RISHI and ANASOOYA was finally answered. The couples gave birth to 3 divine incarnations. The first child was CHANDRAN (MOON GOD). He resembled the BRAHMA in the divine qualities of CREATION. The second child was DHATHATHREYAR, a true embodiment of YOGA. He resembled the VISHNU BHAGAVAN in the divine qualities of PROTECTION. The third child was DHURVASA RISHI. He resembled the RUDHRA BHAGAVAN, in the divine qualities of destroying the evils. The evil- minded people were terrified by the curse of DHURVASA RISHI. His curse burnt the life of evil people in to ashes, resembling the qualities of RUDHRA BHAGAVAN. Thus the couples gave birth to 3 divine incarnations in human form.

The role of ANASOOYA should not be forgotten. She assisted ATHRI RISHI in his divine rituals. She obeyed the commands of ATHRI RISHI and longed for a child as that of BHAGAVAN. The stage of motherhood brings totality to a woman’s life. Through the powers of prayer, a woman can give birth to a child as that of BHAGAVAN.

Let us draw inspiration from their lives. Let our mind be purified through prayer. Let us humbly prostrate on to the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN time and again. Let us be submissive to the commands of our SATHGURU –POOJYA SHRI SHRI AMMA. Let the chanting of RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM, as given by our SATHGURU- POOJYA SHRI SHRI AMMA, bring BHAGAVAN to our home in human form. Let us enjoy the divine happiness of RADHEKRISHNA CHANTING continuously. Let the glory of SATHGURU and SATHSANGAM be spread always.

JAI SHRI RADHEKRISHNA SATHSANG KI JAI!

JAI SHREE POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA!

NRUGA UPAKYANAM - BRAHMANA (SATHGURU) MAHIMA

VIDE (10 -2) - 64

NRUGA RAJAN prayed to KRISHNA BHAGAVAN,
"Oh! BHAGAVAN! The YOGI's meditate on your lotus feet. Their mind gets purified through your meditation. You remain indifferent to worldly attires. No wordly actions can bind you. You are above all worldly actions. On attaining liberation, a man reaches your lotus feet. The RISHI"s meditate on your lotus feet for hundreds and hundreds of years. The YOGI's practice ASTANGA YOGA (8 folded meditation). Even after a very long time, most of them search you till their end of life. Their divine search continues in the next birth. In this way, many noble souls search you for many births. You rule the DEVA's. You are the creator of the universe. You are the protector of the universe. Your divine abode remains the ultimate destination for all human beings. You reside in each and every one as the soul in the body.

The VEDIC hymns praise your glory. You protect your devotee's without fail. Your divinity remains infinite. All divine qualities of perfection sprouts from you. Your divine incarnation in the form of KRISHNA BHAGAVAN is a blessing to one and all. You have taken this human form to destroy the evil minded persons. I am very fortune to have your DARSHAN as KRISHNA BHAGAVAN in human form. Your DARSHAN made my life purposeful and fruitful. To enjoy the fruits of PUNYA KARMA, I wish to leave for DEVALOKAM. Please permit me. Let my mind be filled with your divine DARSHAN at all times in all places. Wherever I may be, let my mind be filled with your divine DARSHAN always. You are the ultimade abode for all human beings.

The universe takes shelter at your divine form. All the worlds are blessed with your divinity. During the time of creation, Your divine will rules the entire world and a new life begins. You are the source of permanent joy. I pray at your lotus feet time and again. Wherever I may be, What ever my state may be, let my mind be surrendered on to the lotus feet of KRISHNA BHAGAVAN. Please grant me this boon. "

Having spoken those words, NRUGA RAJAN prostrated on to the lotus feet of KRISHNA BHAGAVAN. KRISHNA BHAGAVAN gave him permission to enter the DEVALOKAM. A divine flight from DEVALOKAM came there. NRUGA RAJAN entered in to it. He travelled in the sky and reached DEVALOKAM. He enjoyed the wordly luxuries as a king. He was taken to DEVALOKAM to enjoy the royal luxuries of celestial abode. He had the fortune of seeing KRISHNA BHAGAVAN IN HUMAN FORM. All these divine glories came to him through the blessings of BRAHMINS (SATHGURU).

Even the meditation done by RISHI's and YOGI's for hundreds and hundreds of years cannot match the BHAKTHI got through a SATHGURU. The blessings of SATHGURU is the opening gate way to MUKTHI (LIBERATION). BHAGAVAN COMES TO THE PLACE OF A BHAKTHA, to accept his true devotion and his unswerved faith on to his SATHGURU. The glory of SATHGURU brings BHAGAVAN nearer to a BHAKTHA. In this regard, a SATHGURU forms a bridge between BHAGAVAN AND BHAKTHA. Their blessings paves way for BHAGAVAN to reach the place of a BHAKTHA at the earliest. This path is simple. The path of passing various stages of testing times and reaching BHAGAVAN through hierarchy after leaving various worlds of celestial abode namely DEVALOKAM, RISHI LOKAM, PITHRU LOKAM, BRAHMA LOKAM etc., seems to be tedious. Any one can follow the simple path of KRISHNA BHAKTHI got through a SATHGURU.

KRISHNA BHAGAVAN narrated the glory of BRAHMINS (SATHGURU) as follows,

"Humiliationg and snatching the wealth of BRAHMINS is a dreadful sin. It resembles a fuming fire and this fire leaves nothing. It ruins the heridity of the sinner and leaves him to ashes as well as his successsive generations too. The external fire can burn the tree leaving the roots hidden in the soil. But this fire, burns the family root namely the sinner and the offsprings in the form of branches and makes them to ashes. This dreadful sin is more poisonous than any poison prevailing in the world. The poisons can be antidoted with medicines. But this sin can never be annulled with any medicine. Nothing can digest this dreadful sin. The person who snatches the wealth of BRAHMINS UNKNOWINGLY ruins the life of 3 generations including himself. The person who snatches the welath of BRAHMINS KNOWINGLY BY FORCE ruins the life of 10 generations including his life.

As a king, protecting the welfare of BRAHMINS come in the priority list of my official duties. I consider it to be my prime duty to protect the welfare of BRAHMINS ultimately leading to the prosperity of the nation. The tears coming from the deprived (BRAHMINS) is a bane to the country and can bring in various kinds of atrocities to the nation. I am afraid of this dreadful sin. So, I beseech You all, Oh! YADHAVA's! Let you never commit this sin of humiliating and hurting the BRAHMINS through your words and actions. Let you give due respect to BRAHMINS. Let their blessings be with you. In my deep heart, I love BRAHMINS. I seek their blessings in the guidance of governing the nation. I take each and every precautionary measures to save their livelihood. But then many kings spoil their life unknowingly by hurting the BRAHMINS. Sooner or later, their life will become miserable. They will lose their ruling power. They will be conquered by enemies. Soon they may lead a life of slaves. The sin commited by them will continue to affect their offsprings too.

KRISHNA BHAGAVAN stressed the importance of protecting the welfare of BRAHMINS (SATHGURU) through the life story of NRUGA RAJAN. The blessings of BRAHMINS is a permanent treasure. On the contrary, one should not commit the sin of hurting the BRAHMINS (SATHGURU) by means of their words and actions.

We are fortune to have our SATHGURU - POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA, in our presence. The blessings of our SATHGURU - POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA is a permanent treasure to us. Let our mind be surrendered on to the lotus feet of our SATHGURU - POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA. Let the blessings of our SATHGURU bring us KRISHNA BHAGAVAN to our place just like NRUGA RAJAN having the DARSHAN of KRISHNA BHAGAVAN in the barren well. Let the glory of SATHGURU and SATHSANGAM be spread always.

JAI SHREE POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA!

JAI SHREE RADHEKRISHNA SATHSANG KI JAI!

RADHEKRISHNA...RADHEKRISHNA...RADHEKRISHNA...
