SAGARA CHARITHRAM

SAGARAN ruled the entire world, under his sceptre. He faced many battles, with enemies like THALAJANGAN, YAVANAN, SAKHAN, HAIHAYAN and BHARBHARAN. The mentioned names represent the mighty emperors of that time. On hearing about the glory of SAGARAN, they grew angry over him. They attacked him time and again, in the battle field. SAGARAN seeked the blessings of SATHGURU. He was fortuned to have a SATHGURU like HOWRVA RISHI. SATHGURU guided him towards victory, in the battle field. Obeying the words of SATHGURU, he fought bravely in the battle field and conquered the enemies.

SAGARAN wished to punish them through death sentence. He wished to kill them. But, the SATHGURU interfered in this matter and advised him to spare the life of enemies. Obeying the words of SATHGURU, he allowed the enemies to rule their respective nations, under his sceptre. Through these victories, SAGARAN acquired many nations in the world. Knowing about the glory of him, many other emperors voluntarily obeyed at the feet of SAGARAN. Some emperors extended a friendly hand shake to SAGARAN. He accepted the friendly deal offered by them. Through compassionate love and bravery as given by SATHGURU, SAGARAN ruled the entire world.

SAGARAN obeyed at the feet of SATHGURU. He seeked the blessings of SATHGURU, throughout his life. The blessings of SATHGURU made him all- powerful. The entire world obeyed at the feet of SAGARAN. The divine power of SATHGURU can change the entire world. Through SAGARAN, the SATHGURU changed the entire world. We can draw inspiration from the life story of SAGARAN. A divine secret, lies in this story. If we obey to the coomands of SATHGURU as per the divine will of BHAGAVAN, then the entire world will obey to the dictates and commands coming from our mouth.

HOWRVA RISHI preached him about the glory, generosity and other divine qualities of BHAGAVAN. During that time, mighty emperors used to perform a YAGNA called ASHWAMEDHA YAGNAM. It symbolized the glory of an emperor. In this YAGNAM, BHAGAVAN was ritually invoked as YAGNA NARAYANAN. It was performed to please BHAGAVAN. As per the vedic sayings, a ruler can enter heaven by performing 100 ASHWAMEDHA YAGNAM. The SATHGURU advised him to perform this YAGNAM.

Obeying the words of SATHGURU, SAGARAN performed the YAGNA with utmost caution and obedience. He invoked the blessings of BHAGAVAN. He prostrated at the lotus feet of BHAGAVAN whole - heartedly. He thanked BHAGAVAN whole - heartedly for granting a SATHGURU like HOWRVA RISHI. He prostrated at the lotus feet of SATHGURU, time and again. His mind was filled with the divine joy of SATHGURU's abundant divine grace.

As per the VEDIC sayings, the ruler of heaven was awarded with a post called DEVENDRAN. Heaven remains a place of joy with all kind of luxuries with full of enchantment and merry all around the life. Many emperors prformed ASHWAMEDHA YAGNAM, eagerly awaiting to reach the 100 th one. INDRAN enjoys the pleasure of heaven and he craves to remain there permanently for a long time. At the loss of luxuries, people get angry over the hindrances. The same goes well with any one holding a high post comprising of luxuries and powers. They forget the uncertainity about their life path and imagines their life to be immortal. INDRAN remains no exception to this. He was caught in the trap of post and powers.

BHAGAVAN stress the uncertainity of heaven through his preachins to ARJUNA. The mind wandering in the waves of sensual organs, seeks solace in luxuries. The luxuries enjoyed through senses remains a burning fire. The growing years adds fuel to the fire of burning desire. The burning fire of sensual passion spreads in all directions and engulfs the life path of human beings. The mind develops a sentimental attachment towards the luxuries. This attachment brings in a sense of EGO in the mind. The ego developed in the mind brings in, indecisiveness towards any upcoming hindrance.

Under the trap of indecision, the mind takes shelter at the weapons of anger and hatred. The mind forces the human being to destroy the hindrance by force. The angry and hatred developed in the mind, ruins the life. He forgets the true identity and purpose of life. Forgetting the self - identity, leads the life to nowhere just like the vanishing clouds.

Now, INDRAN was forced to face a hindrance in the form of SAGARAN. The royal luxuries enjoyed by him, tempted his mind towards the evil notions of life. Instead of peace, he took violence as a weapon to get rid of the hindrance. He made a devilish plot to degrade the glory of SAGARAN.

Do you want to know the dimensions of angry and hatred as proclaimed by INDRAN?

Wait till the next issue.

Let the blessings of SATHGURU prevent us from this MAYA in the form of hatred and angry.

Let our life be filled with the divine joy, got through the chanting of RADHEKRISHNA NAMAM.

Let the divine grace of KRISHNA BHAGAVAN spread to one and all in the world, through our SATHGURU - POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA.

JAI SHREE RADHEKRISHNA SATHSANG KI JAY!

JAI SHREE POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA!

SAGARA CHARITHRAM

Vide 9 - 8,
(9 th Skandam, 8 th Adhyayam)

Once upon a time, there live a mighty emperor by name BHAHUKAN. He was ruling his country and gathered a mass support from the neighbouring emperors. As days rolled on, many emperors got envy at the success of BHAHUKAN. Once, they made a devilish plot and attacked BHAHUKAN, in an unexpected way. As he was unprepared for the war, BHAHUKAN was defeated by the enemies. He was forced to leave his country. BHAHUKAN and his wife left the palace and went to a forest. She was pregnant, during that time.

In the forest, they met a great sage by name HOWRVA RISHI. He was a SATHGURU, in all respect. BHAHUKAN's wife wished to end her life. She was saved by HOWRVA RISHI. The SATHGURU preached her about the glory of human birth. The RISHI explained her about the evil consequences of ending her life, against the divine will of BHAGAVAN. BHAHUKAN's wife got enlightened by the words of SATHGURU. She gave birth to a child. She handed over the child at the lotus feet of SATHGURU and seeked the blessings of SATHGURU.

The SATHGURU gave his blessings to the new born child. He named the child as SAGARAN. BHAHUKAN's wife was served with a food containing poison. As per the divine will of BHAGAVAN, she was luckily saved from the dreadly poison. But the poison entered in to the child's body. So, the baby was poisoned right from the womb. Owing to this reason, the RISHI named him as SAGARAN (SAGARAN - A child born with poison in his body, right from mother's womb).

In a worldly context, one can expect the child to grow in a wrong way. Sonce it was poisoned, many people will fear about his over-all well-being. But, that was not true, in the case of SAGARAN. He received the blessings of SATHGURU. The blessings of SATHGURU can change the destiny of one's life.

SAGARAN was brought up in a healthy divine environment, under the supervision of a SATHGURU, namely HOWRVA RISHI. Even though, he was weak right from his birth, he grew stronger and stronger as days rolled on. That is the glory and the divine mystery of a SATHGURU's divine grace and blessings. Their blessings can reincarnate divinity in one's life. This reincarnation of divinity will bring in a new phase of life, leading to rejeuvenation and revivification.

He became very strong in mind and body. He gathered a huge army and showed his bravery in the battle field. He regained his kingdom and became the emperor of his country. He conquered many nations. As years passed on, he became all - powerful, in ruling each and every nation in the world. He ruled the entire world, under his sceptre. Throughout his life, he seeked the blessings of SATHGURU. He obeyed the orders of SATHGURU and was fortunate to have a SATHGURU like HOWRVA RISHI.

During the past life, he was driven out from the country. His mother was suffering in the forest. Usually people do not welcome loses in life. At the onset of a small defeat, people lose confidence in BHAGAVAN and to the words of SATHGURU. But then, that is not the right attitude towards divinity and devotion. We should have the courage to accept the loses as blessings in disguise, as per the divine will of BHAGAVAN. During the hours of loses, we should seek the blessings of SATHGURU. SAGARAN's mother was fortunate to have a SATHGURU like HOWRVA RISHI.

She lost a very small landscape in this vast world. But for the loss of it, she received an unsurmountable treasure, namely the SATHGURU. To gain a SATHGURU, one can accept the loses in life as a blessings. But, one should not leave the divine blessings of SATHGURU, for the sake of material comforts. The material comforts come and go in life, just like the passing waves in an ocean.

The wave come nearer to us. When we wish to touch it, they go back instantaneously beyound our control. We eagerly await for another wave to touch us. But the same old story repeats. In the same way, the waves of pleasure in the form of material comforts, come and go in this ocean of life. The waves oscillate to and fro in the external world. But, deep within the ocean, there lies a dorment silence, which remains all - powerful, at all times. The power of SATHGURU remains like this dorment silence of an ocean. If we catch at this dorment power, we can control the external ramifications of life.

The hidden power lies in the divine grace of SATHGURU. SAGARAN's mother was fortunate to catch this hidden divine power of a SATHGURU, during the testing times of life. She was beaten ferociously by the wave of life, in this mighty ocean of birth and death cycle. But then, she was fortunate to seek the blessings of SATHGURU. Millions and millions of people enter into motherhood, during each and every day.

But, how many mothers are fortunate to seek the blessings of SATHGURU?

We are fortune to have our SATHGURU - POOJYA SHRI SHRI AMMA, in our presence.

Let our life be filled with the divine grace of SATHGURU.

JAI SHREE RADHEKRISHNA SATHSANG KI JAI!

JAI SHREE POOJYA SHREE SHREE AMMA!

RADHEKRISHNA...RADHEKRISHNA...RADHEKRISHNA...
